La Posada Announces Spring Music Series to Benefit Charity

Six-concert series to benefit Valley Assistance Services

Green Valley, AZ (1/17/12) – In its third year, La Posada’s annual “Concerts for…” music series returns this February to provide live, local music and family fun while raising much needed funds for a community nonprofit organization. This year, all proceeds from the six-part concert series will benefit Valley Assistance Services. This year’s Concerts for Valley Assistance Services series will continue on Saturday, Feb. 25, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Shoppes at La Posada courtyard, and will feature The Melody Louise Duo with jazz standards from the Great American Songbook.

Every Saturday from February 11 through March 17, a live music concert will be offered free to the public, with cash donations gratefully accepted during each event on behalf of this year’s beneficiary. Joining La Posada as concert series sponsors are: Green Valley News, FICO/Green Valley Pecan Company, KGVY Radio, Bill's Home Service, Friends in Deed, HealthNet, Green Valley Heating and Cooling, Animal Care Center of Green Valley, CareMore, Ace Hardware, and Custom Plus. Valley Assistance Services connects seniors and families with essential social services to reinforce independence and resilience and create an improved quality of life. Posada Java, La Posada’s on-campus café offering coffee drinks, baked goods, sandwiches and more, will donate the proceeds from their gross sales during the each concert event as additional support for Valley Assistance Services. Posada Java's hours of operation will not change during the concert series. Posada Java's business hours are Monday -Saturday: 7 AM - 4 PM, Sundays: 7 AM - 2 PM.
