Dr. Lee and Christine Vensel provided the vision and financial support to make the Treasure Shoppe a reality. Opened in May 2003, and run by resident volunteers of La Posada, the Treasure Shoppe sells quality pre-owned furniture, collectibles, prints, accessories and other household items that have been donated or consigned to the La Posada Foundation.

As a result of the Shoppe’s success, it became part of the The Shoppes at La Posada, which opened in 2009. Along with Posada Java, the Barber Shoppe, and The View (artistic displays), the Vensel Treasure Shoppe continues to serve the greater Green Valley area.
